Today we took a guided tour of the Sacred Valley with about 50-60 folks - mostly Spanish speakers, but there were a couple of French Canadians, a young man from Poland and a nice young gal from Brazil - they speak Portugese in Brazil. The guide used both English and Spanish and was very good. We visited 4 ruins and realized that Incan terraces are much like Scarlet Macaws in Costa Rica or polititians in strip clubs - you get tired of taking pictures of them.....
The tour started about 9 AM and we didn;t return until 7 PM and was a whopping $15 each. They got us dropped off just in time for our meet and greet for the Inca Trail hike that begins tomorrow!!!!! We met the 3 Australian members of the hike and the 2 Italians were not there. We know the Italians weren't at dinner as it was before 10 PM and no Italian eats before then. We'll see them bright and early manana.... 4 AM pickup!
Here is your Sacred Valley picture and we'll have lots to write in 5 days or so - post Machu Picchu......
